FAQ

1. Creation and management of laboratory accounts

What do the terms “subscribers” and “affiliates” mean?

An affiliate is a physical person declared within LEILA in one (or more) laboratory account(s). Depending on the rights they have been granted, they are able to perform certain actions associated with participation in an ILT.

A subscriber is an affiliate authorised to register their laboratory for participation in an ILT.

The different profiles are described in detail in the user instructions.

The LEILA functional administrator is available to help if necessary.

Should a laboratory account be created for each laboratory (site) or for each unit?

There are no established rules. It is up to each laboratory to define the number of laboratory accounts that seem most appropriate for its organisation, according to the number of mandates, number of affiliates, organisation and/or participation, etc. Each laboratory account manager is responsible for creating and updating laboratory accounts.

The LEILA functional administrator is available to help if necessary.

Are all the ANSES ILTs displayed on the control panel?

The visibility of the ILTs in the LEILA control panels depends on the affiliate's rights in LEILA regarding the ILT, the status of the ILT and the area/mandate associated with the ILT.

The LEILA functional administrator is available to help if necessary.

2. Participation of foreign laboratories

How are foreign participants managed?

No distinction is made between French and foreign participants. The way they are managed is identical.

Is the registration form available in English?

The registration form, as well as the different pages of the application, are provided in English for all affiliates associated with a laboratory account who selected English as the application language (top left of the home page).

3. Archiving in LEILA

Once an ILT has ended, how long does it remain accessible in LEILA?

All data relating to the ILTs are accessible in LEILA for a period of four years after the date on which the ILTs were closed.

4. Information exchange between participants and organisers

Who should I contact if I experience any problems when using LEILA?

The LEILA application is administered by a functional administrator and a technical administrator. You can contact either via the email address: adminleila@anses.fr

Can an affiliate specify a generic ILT email address (not directly linked to a particular person)?

The affiliate's email address is used as the user name when connecting to the LEILA application. A generic email address is therefore not suitable for an affiliate.

If I accidentally uploaded the wrong file, can I still resubmit my results before the closing date for results?

Results files can be uploaded by participants as many times as they wish, as long as the deadline for submitting results has not passed. After this date, submission of a new file may be accepted by the organiser under certain circumstances.

The LEILA functional administrator is available to help if necessary.

Can the participant upload documents (for example, pro forma documents, import licences, etc.)?

Participants can upload documents at the results submission step.

Can an individual report be obtained via LEILA?

LEILA is not designed to provide individual documents via the application.

Is it possible to receive an individualised email message?

Two types of email messages are issued by LEILA:

- email messages related to the workflow steps, generated automatically by the system;

- open-content emails, generated by the organising laboratory whenever necessary and sent to some or all of the registered laboratories.

As a participant, can I use LEILA to communicate with the coordinator of the ILT in progress?

You should not use LEILA to communicate with the coordinator of the ILT in which you are participating. Your personal email account should be used, and the message should be sent to the address mentioned on the ILT information sheet.
